Maths in Y5

This week, our Year 5s have been working hard on partitioning digits across place value, breaking numbers down into thousands, hundreds, tens, and ones. They’ve used a range of methods and resources to help them really understand how numbers are structured, including place value charts and counters.

Class 4 have shown great focus and determination during their maths lessons, asking thoughtful questions and supporting one another as they worked through trickier challenges. It’s been fantastic to see their confidence grow as the week has gone on.

Well done, Class 4 – a brilliant start to your maths learning this year!
