Class 2 have been busy exploring lots of different ways to make ten this week, and they’ve really impressed us with their focus and teamwork. Using shake and spill counters, the children investigated how numbers can be combined to make 10 and carefully placed them on tens frames to check their answers.
Once they had found their combinations, they wrote matching number sentences and even challenged themselves to find the inverse! It was brilliant to see them recalling their number bonds with increasing confidence and spotting patterns as they worked.
The children worked beautifully together – sharing counters, helping each other count with one-to-one correspondence, and showing kindness and cooperation by following the Foljambe Way.
A fantastic effort, Class 2!
