Miss Wilde
Meet your teacher
Miss Wilde
Hello my name is Miss Wilde and I am really looking forward to being your teacher. I have been a teacher for 24 years and have been fortunate to have taught from FS1 to Year 6. The majority of my experience is in EYFS and KS1 and I absolutely love teaching. I know we will have lots of fun learning new things together. I have a daughter and a son who I enjoy spending time with. We like going on days out, swimming and playing in the park. I enjoy netball, watching the Lionesses and being outdoors.
Meet your teaching assistants

Miss Walsh
Hi, I’m Mrs Ramsey. I will be your Teaching Assistant for Class 2. I am really looking forward to working with you all. I have worked at Foljambe for nearly 3 years now, passing my teaching assistant qualification around 18 months ago.I am married to Gareth and have 2 amazing children Chloe aged 22 and Sid aged 17. I also have a fur baby called Annie. We all love going away in our caravan and get away as often as we can. Which isn’t always that often as Sid plays rugby on a Sunday and Gareth and Sid play wheelchair rugby on a Saturday for the Sheffield Eagles. As you can probably guess our family are big rugby fans and I love to watch Wakefield Trinity when they play at home.I have just started open water swimming and learning paddleboarding and kayaking. I use this to keep me fit.I am excited to be your TA this year. We will have lots of fun while working hard. I hope you all have a lovely summer and I’m already looking forward to seeing you all in September.

Mrs French
Hello, I am Mrs French and I am very much looking forward to working with you in
Class 2. I have worked at Foljambe Primary for nearly 3 years, but have 25 years of
experience in primary education, both as a teacher and a teaching assistant.
I have four children between the ages of 19 and 22, and a pet tortoise named ‘Tiny’. I love spending time with my children, and enjoy walks, shopping, pottering in my garden and reading (when I have time!).
I can’t wait to work with you all in September, and look forward to helping you dream big, show pride and do your very best!
Class Information
Phonics will be taught following the ‘Little Wandle’ scheme. As part of phonics your child will learn a new sound each day and develop early reading skills to enable them to become confident, fluent readers. Each child will have a decodable phonics reading book that matches their reading level. We are incredibly fortunate as we have lots of brand new books which we can’t wait for you all to read. We aim to do at least 3 reads per week in school, as well lots of other opportunities to explore quality texts. We would love you to read with your child at home too as this will really help their reading progress and develop their love of reading. You will also be able to vote for our end of the day read. We will use ClassDojo to keep in touch with you and to give you key updates. You will receive an invitation to your child’s Class Dojo in September, where you will be able to see what we are doing in class. There will be information about learning, reminders and photos. The children will receive Dojo points and have the chance to win certificates and prizes for following the Foljambe Way. Each week a ‘star of the week’ will be chosen and we will also choose a ‘star of the day’ each day. The children will have access to ‘Numbots’, a free online Maths programme and then as their skills develop they will have access to ‘TTRockstars’. Children need a water bottle and bag/bookbag every day. They will have P.E. session once a week. We will let you know which day this will be in September. Please feel free to speak to staff if you have any questions or concerns. We are looking forward to telling you more about our exciting learning in September including some fantastic trips.
