The children have been exploring a wide range of colours and experimenting with colour palettes and watercolours as they prepare for their final perspective art piece, inspired by a WW2 street scene during the Blitz.
They’ve been learning how different shades and tones can be used to create mood and atmosphere – from the dark, smoky skies of wartime London to the warm glow of light breaking through the chaos. This work has allowed them to develop important artistic skills, such as colour mixing, blending, and creating depth and perspective in their artwork.
The focus and creativity shown so far have been incredible, and we can’t wait to see their finished pieces come to life in the coming weeks. Well done, Year 5/6!
