Artist Study in Y1

Y1 have been exploring the work of artist Claude Monet and learning all about Impressionism. We are so proud of how enthusiastically the children have embraced this style of painting, which uses short, quick brushstrokes and unblended colours to create beautiful effects.

The children worked collaboratively using watercolours to bring their sketches to life. They carefully selected their colours and mixed different shades, building on the skills they have developed in previous weeks. It was wonderful to see everyone so engaged, creative and eager to experiment with their artwork!
